Florian is a behavioral scientist, Carlsberg Foundation Fellow, Tietgen Prize winner 2022 and Associate Professor of Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Copenhagen Business School. He combines different domains of psychology, biology and marketing to tackle pressing issues in human behavior (with a focus on tourism, hospitality and the experience economy).
His research, that appears in the leading international journals, has been proven very useful for many businesses, politics, and the media. It has been recognized with various international and national awards and is frequently featured in media outlets (Politiken, DR, TV2, FAZ, DIE ZEIT). He supervises multiple PhD studets, serves on the editorial boards of the premier journals of his discipline (Annals of Tourism Research and Journal of Travel Research), and as a referee for various national research organizations.

Florian is currently supervising four Ph.D. students in the areas of consumer psychology and tourism.
Florian supervises ambitious theses in consumer behaviour, branding, tourism research, psychology and international marketing, with a focus on high academic quality and practical impact.
