Præsentation

My work focuses on the role of multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. I am particularly interested in;

  •  the configuration of value chains
  •  business-government interactions, and
  •  the nexus between institutional change and innovation, in an industry-specific and country-specific context.

Before joining CBS, I held the positions of Lecturer in International Business (Manchester Business School, University of Manchester), Lecturer in Strategy (University of Surrey), and the Advanced Institute of Management Post-doctoral Research Fellow (Cardiff University), which was co-sponsored by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

I received my PhD from the University of Cambridge, with full financial support from the Joint Japan-World Bank Graduate Scholarship. I also hold an MSc in Development Studies (SOAS, University of London). Prior to beginning my academic career, I worked in the field of retail logistics and the global shipping industry, based in Japan and Singapore.
