Department of International Economics, Government and Business
My research focuses on the role of international business in sustainable development for economy and society. I am particularly interested in the interactions between multinational enterprises (MNEs) and government policies.
Before joining CBS, I held the positions of Lecturer in International Business (Manchester Business School, University of Manchester), Lecturer in Strategy (University of Surrey), and the Advanced Institute of Management Post-doctoral Research Fellow (Cardiff University), of which position was co-sponsored by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council in the UK.
I obtained my PhD in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge, with full financial support from the Joint Japan-World Bank Graduate Scholarship. I also hold an MSc in Development Studies (SOAS, University of London). Prior to beginning my academic career, I worked in the field of retail logistics and the global maritime industry in Japan and Singapore.
