On Friday 28 July, CBS will send admission letters to everyone who has been accepted to a bachelor programme at CBS.

Problems opening your encrypted email?

On Friday, we noticed that some of you are having problems opening the encrypted email we sent you. This is due to a problem at Microsoft. We hope it will be resolved soon and will keep you updated here and on Facebook and Instagram. Remember that you have until 1 August to accept your study place.

Response to your application

You will receive the answer to your application on Friday 28 July.

CBS will send all admission letters as encrypted email. We send out the admission letters starting at midnight and expect all applicants have received their answer within 3-4 hours.

In the admission letter from CBS, you will be informed about which programme you have been accepted to with study start 1 September 2023.

One offer for a study place

You will only receive one offer for a study place, even if you have applied for several programmes. The distribution of study places is done collectively for all educations in Denmark, and therefore you only receive an admission letter from the institution where you are offered a study place.

Have you not been offered a study place?

If you are not offered a study place, you will receive an answer from the Coordinated Admission (KOT) on 28 July letting you know that you did not get in. You will receive an answer from KOT via E-Boks or email.

Because CBS has far more applicants than study places, there are no available places and no waiting lists.

If you have not been offered a study place, we recommend you read the article You did not get in. What now?

Before you accept

Before you accept your study place, consider whether you feel ready to start studying this year or whether you might be better off taking a(nother) sabbatical year.

Experience from previous years have shown that students that have thought this through will make an easier transition into university life. So before you accept your study place, please take a minute to read about what is worth considering.

Read more about the considerations you should make here at cbs.dk > Study start > Before you accept your study place

Remember to accept the offer!

If you have been accepted to CBS, you must remember to accept the offer for a study place no later than 1 August at 23.59. If you fail to accept the offer before the deadline, you will lose your study place.

To accept the offer you must:

  • Click on the link in your admission letter
  • Log on with the username and password stated in your admission letter
  • Follow the instructions on the website

Get ready for study start

We have gathered all the information you need to get ready for study start at studystart.cbs.dk. Here you among other things will find:

  • An overview of the things you need to do before study start.
  • Access to the online study start course How to Uni. By taking the course, you will get prepared for your new life as a CBS student.
  • The program for your introduction week.
  • Information about the study start test.

All bachelor's programmes start with an introduction week on 21 - 25 August, which is the week before the semester begins.

We recommend that you prioritise participating throughout in the entire intro week. Here you get an introduction to your new programme and you meet your fellow students for the first time. Our experience shows that students who participate in the introduction week get off to a better study start which is very helpful for your studies at CBS.

Read more about the introduction week and find the programme for your study programme

When the intro activities are over and the teaching starts, students in most programmes will be assigned a mentor who is typically a 2nd or 3rd student from the same programme as yours. Your mentor will help you to get off to a good start on your programme and in your student life.

Are you currious about what it will be like to start studying at CBS? Then you can read prior bachelor students testimonials about among other things what has been difficult during there studies and their advice for new students at CBS.

Find the testimonials here on cbs.dk > All bachelor programmes > Choose programme > click on a student profile

You can also read more about classes, the study environment and our collaborative mindset etc. on cbs.dk > Student life
