Todays’ corporate technological leaders are operating across international markets.
They not only run the highest budgets for research and development (R&D) but also orchestrate knowledge integration and innovation at an international level.
This course starts by facilitating an appreciation of technology as an integral part of the competitive firm strategy.
It explores the nature of the innovation process and its relation to markets, technology, and the firm. Thereby, it highlights opportunities and challenges involved in the innovation process of multinational firms, proceeds by discussing the impact of disruptive digital technologies such as social media, AI, blockchain, Internet-of-Things as well as platforms as organizational innovation.
Students develop insights into how incumbent multinational enterprises adjust to disruptive digital technologies as well as and how younger digital firms interact with international markets.
