Grazia D. Santangelo (Ph.D., University of Reading) is Professor of Strategic and International Management at Copenhagen Business School. Her research lies at the intersection of international business, global strategy, and innovation management, with a focus on the strategic management of intangibles—such as knowledge and reputation—across borders. Her recent work examines how multinational enterprises navigate geopolitical complexities and address grand societal challenges, with publications in leading journals including Journal of International Business Studies, Global Strategy Journal, and Organization Science.
She is a Sonoco Visiting Fellow in International Business at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. Before joining Copenhagen Business School, she held a Jean Monnet Chair in International Business for European Union at the University of Catania, Italy, funded by the European Commission.
Professor Santangelo currently serves as co-editor of Global Strategy Journal. Previously, she served as Reviewing Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Management and Industry and Innovation. She is also a member of the Editorial Review Boards of Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business and Long Range Planning, among others.
A committed leader in the field, she is a Fellow of both the Academy of International Business and the European International Business Academy (EIBA). She is currently Vice-President Program Elect of the Academy of International Business and has held leadership roles in the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society, as well as serving as President of EIBA.
