Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for a MSCA project manager at CSEI, Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School.

The Department of Economics provides research, teaching and knowledge transfer within the core areas of economics, i.e. microeconomics, macroeconomics, and quantitative methods. The Department is especially active in business-related, applied economic research, and comprises of two research centres: Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure and Pension Research Centre (PeRCent). In terms of research activities, the posts will be attached to CSEI.

The Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI) is a highly specialised European research centre at the Department of Economics at the Copenhagen Business School. At CSEI we are mainly focused on economic and policy research aspects of European energy issues. At the same time, we maintain a global outlook to energy challenges of our time. CSEI is funded by stakeholders from the energy sector and other research grants.

The position

The project manager will coordinate CSEI’s Marie Sklodovska Curie project POTENT (“Ports as Energy Transition Hubs”) from 2026-2028.

The tasks for the MSCA POTENT project manager include:

  • Supporting the whole MSCA consortium, including 15 PhDs and 22 partners
  • Managing the academic and industry secondments
  • coordinating onboarding for Doctoral Candidates (DCs), including contact setup. Also
  • organizing conferences and workshops.
  • Working with the financial and legal teams to monitor budgets and manage reimbursements. 
  • Drafting quarterly reports on project activities, including training committee updates, and disseminates information regarding upcoming courses and events. 
  • Overseeing the Project's online presence, social media, and public relations. 
  • Maintaining day-to-day communication with the European Commission's project officer, ensuring compliance and updates on the project's status

Requirements, qualifications and personal competences

  • Experience with managing MSCA projects is an advantage
  • Structured but flexible person that is passionate about the work
  • Capable of managing a broad portofolio of work, including administrative tasks
  • A relevant educational background (master's degree or above)
  • Proficiency in both Danish and English is an advantage
  • Ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders ranging from researchers to industry experts, entrepreneurs and political organizations.
  • Experience in Communication will be an advantage

We seek a colleague, that is flexible and good at self-management and is present on a day-to-day basis at the department to support the center’s staff.

We offer

We offer a workplace that is characterized by high speed of work but also flexibility. The project manager will work closely with the whole CSEI team and thereby achieve a close and detailed insight into current energy research.

At the same time, the close cooperation with industry partners and not at least the European Commission will give an even broader insight into the energy sector also with regard to policy activities carried out by the project manager.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment and remuneration take place according to the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organisation, with placement and remuneration depending on qualifications and experience. Based on the task description, the role is expected to be at AC-Fuldmægtig level. There will be an opportunity to negotiate personal allowances during employment. The employment is 37 hours per week.

The appointment is time-limited for the period of three years.

Starting date: 1st of May 2026 latest or before.
