Head of Entrepreneurial Scaling
About the role
Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) at CBS seeks a Head of Entrepreneurial Scaling to build and lead a new team focused on developing and delivering research-informed programs for entrepreneurs navigating scaling transitions. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new domain from the ground up, operationalizing research insights through structured programming that enables leadership development and organisation scaling across Europe.
Key responsibilities
Team Building & People Leadership
- Build and recruit a high-performing team delivering research-informed scaling programs at scale
- Develop team capabilities in program development, research-to-practice translation, and industry engagement
- Create collaborative culture bridging academic rigor with entrepreneurial practice
- Define roles, responsibilities, growth pathways as the team develops, while providing performance management with ongoing coaching and feedback
Strategic Vision & Program Development
- Develop vision, success metrics, and tactics for growth-stage offerings
- Design and deliver programs applying research on scaling to practitioner challenges
- Operationalize research insights into accessible frameworks, tools, and structured programming
- Build peer learning communities enabling knowledge sharing and problem-solving
Research-Practice Collaboration
- Conduct and contribute to research on entrepreneurship, scaling, and organizational growth
- Engage CBS researchers in growth-stage programming design and delivery
- Surface practitioner challenges that inform CBS research agendas
- Create pathways for research insights to inform entrepreneurial practice
Industry Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement
- Develop collaborations with industry partners creating scaling opportunities and knowledge exchange
- Deliver programs that connect ventures with resources, mentorship, and scaling support
- Advance European innovation agenda through research application and cross-border support
Your profile
We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader with proven team-building experience and expertise in research-practice collaboration, program development, and entrepreneurship ecosystem engagement.
- Relevant academic background (Master's or PhD in business, entrepreneurship, innovation, or related field)
- Minimum 10 years in entrepreneurship support, startup scaling, or innovation ecosystem development
- Proven track record building teams from the ground up
- Strong team-building skills: recruitment, onboarding, role definition, culture development
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain talent in startup-like environments
- Experience designing and delivering programs for growth-stage entrepreneurs or scaleups
- Understanding of scaling challenges and organizational growth dynamics
- Ability to translate academic research into practitioner-accessible frameworks
- Experience facilitating collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners
- Strong understanding of European entrepreneurship ecosystems
- Excellent Danish and English communication
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic vision and operational execution
- Comfort with ambiguity and building structure where none exists

Workplace & Terms
The position is based at CSE, Frederiksberg, with regular stakeholder engagement across CBS and externally.
This is a permanent full-time position starting no later than March 16, 2026 or as soon as possible. The position is classified as Chefkonsulent med personaleansvar.
Employment and remuneration follow the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant professional organization, with classification and salary based on qualifications and experience. Personal supplement negotiable upon employment.
