Agile and Adaptive Leadership
Last week, on a bright winter day, we launched the LEADERSHIP DAY in great collaboration with CBS Executive Education and NOCA. The purpose was crystal clear: To ENGAGE, SHARE and INSPIRE for leadership that can stand the test of uncertainty and high complexity.
With a strong line-up and a tightly packed program, we wanted to uncover new thinking from leadership researchers and practitioners who have fresh and insightful insights to share. And so we did!
Kasper Bas Svendsen, MBA invited us into the journey of merging two strong corporate cultures when creating one of Denmark’s biggest companies, Novonesis. What a journey from 2 to 1!
Christian Lauritzen from ISS enriched us with an engaging keynote on leadership skills in an international matrix organization that needs to balance global and local. With presence in 30+ countries and 360,000+ employees this is a task that require both clear direction and high flexibility.
Rikke Kristine Nielsen from Aalborg university and Danielle Bjerre Lyndgaard from Jyske Bank shared their experiences with leadership of paradoxes in a VUCAP world, bridging research and experience from practice.
Petra-Sofie Kempf from Core Energy made even the most rational people in the audience open their eyes to the strength that lies in paying attention to your body when leading others – and yourself.
And last, but not least, colleagues from the CBS Leadership Centre shared their exciting research. Professor Silviya Svejenova talked about the impact of changing leadership roles in the C-suite. PhD fellow Katelyn Sharratt revealed the huge potential of play as a leadership tool for agile and adaptive decision making and innovation.
Eva Fog Bruun co-hosted this fusion of research and practice together with Ulrik Schultz Brix, but the warmest acknowledgements rightfully go to the support from Andreas Arentoft, Ditte Fiil Ravn, Katrine Fagerlind Riis. Thanks for a great team effort!
