Call for Papers: 2026 Nordic Household Finance Summit
The call for papers is now open for the inaugural Nordic Household Finance Summit, hosted by the Center for Big Data in Finance (BIGFI) at CBS on June 1–2, 2026. The conference brings together leading and emerging researchers working on all aspects of household finance.
We invite submissions for the inaugural Nordic Household Finance Summit, to be held in Copenhagen in June 2026. This two-day summit will bring together world-class researchers working in all areas of household finance, with an emphasis on empirical work using administrative and registry data. Submissions using experimental, survey, qualitative, and observational data are also welcome.
We especially welcome new and innovative papers that push the research frontier. Submissions need not be polished, but they must be well motivated and show clear potential for publication in top-ranked journals. Preference may be given to papers that have not yet been widely presented. The workshop aims to provide focused, constructive feedback to help promising projects develop into high-impact contributions.
Topics of interest span the full spectrum of household finance, including household borrowing and financial distress; saving and portfolio choice; financial frictions; insurance; consumption and labor-income dynamics; financial literacy and advice; beliefs and preferences; risk preferences; fintech; and behavioral approaches.
Travel and accommodation costs for presenters and discussants will be covered by the organizers. The 2026 summit is sponsored by the Center for Big Data in Finance (BIGFI) at Copenhagen Business School.
Special pitch session for research ideas
The workshop will also feature a pitch session for researchers with high-potential ideas that are still in their early stages, may lack data access, or would benefit from early feedback. Submissions for this session should take the form of an approximately five-page proposal outlining the research question, anticipated contribution, empirical strategy, and data needs.
