Why choose ISUP?

ISUP is a well-established programme

The International Summer University Programme (ISUP) was established in 1999, and at present it draws approx. 2300 participants from more than 50 countries - international exchange students, freemovers, students from CBS and other Danish universities as well as professionals seeking to further develop their knowledge and skills. The Programme provides participants with an exceptional opportunity to study in a truly international environment and combine high-quality learning with an unforgettable summer experience.

ISUP is a high-level academic programme

  • We offer over 50 courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, both classic business courses as well
as more diverse courses that draw on other academic disciplines, all approved by CBS study boards.
  • Among the themes of ISUP courses, Entrepreneurship has a special place, as a prioritized CBS subject that engages students and combines all the different business disciplines. Read more about PDF iconEntrepreneurship at ISUP.
  • The programme runs over a six-week period, where students can take up to two six-week courses equalling 7.5 ECTS credits per course. We also offer three-week courses, but they cannot be combined with any other course - further information under Courses and exams
  • ISUP gives students the opportunity to study at CBS, one of Europe's largest business schools, which has "The Triple Crown" accreditation (EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB), an acknowledgement only shared by around 100 business schools worldwide. Read more about CBS and the latest facts and figures.
  • Most ISUP instructors are from CBS and lecturers from good universities around the world teach at ISUP as well. Active involvement of international senior executives from Danish and multinational companies is an integral part in selected courses.

ISUP is also about enjoying Copenhagen and the Danish culture

We offer an interesting cultural and social programme

Student Testimonials
"It has been amazing to meet all of the Danish students in class, and hear about what they love about Copenhagen, what they love about Denmark and how our different school experiences are. To learn from professors, who are from all over the world, has been really eye-opening and very cool to learn these different perspectives in class.

I think one of the best things has been the social programme - they have been bringing us to different places around Denmark, showing us the sights, bringing us all around Copenhagen, getting to see various places, getting different experiences and then getting to meet all these other people from all over the world at the same time."

Elizabeth Owens Skidmore Elizabeth Skidmore - York University, Schulich School of Business, Canada.

"Professors are amazing - professors from all around the world - with such high degrees. Such a beautiful setting where people are actually talking a lot and the professors are actually facilitator rather than just the lecturer, which is a very beautiful concept.

The dorms have been great - this is the nicest room I have ever lived in."

Rachit Jain Rachit Jain - University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA.

"I love about all the international students here, you can find people from Europe and Australia and America and of course, I am from China. So it is a very multicultural background and people just inspire each other and share ideas."
