The role of consumption in individual & societal well-being
As consumer researcher I focus on the intersection of consumer behaviour, well‑being and social responsibility. I address how people navigate complex food and health‑markets, how lifestyle transitions impact well‑being, and how consumption can both empower and create tensions in modern societies. I strive to ensure that marketing research becomes a force for positive change — not only for business performance but also for public health, sustainability and quality of life.
Beyond research, I am committed to academic citizenship and capacity‑building at CBS as Head of the Department of Marketing, where I foster partnerships between academia and business to produce research with real‑world relevance. My vision is a marketing discipline that contributes to healthier lives, more mindful consumption and stronger organisations that act responsibly — equipping students, companies and society with the knowledge they need to navigate a rapidly changing world.
