This research stream investigates how companies adjust their global business activities as a function of political influence, with a focus on geopolitics, populism, political risk, and supranational institutions.
Artificial intelligence in global business
My research investigates how AI changes strategic decision-making in multinational companies, with a focus on investment decisions, how AI can support decision-making, and how AI interacts with and introduces biases to decision-making.
Quantitative research methods
I work on developing applied quantitative research methods for global business and strategy research, with a focus on machine learning and agent-based simulations.

I explain the complexities of global business

I explore how global companies navigate the challenges and opportunities of politics, new technologies, and data-driven insights. My work blends big-picture thinking with cutting-edge analysis to understand what drives success in global business. My research has appeared in some of the leading academic journals in business studies (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Finance, Journal of International Business Studies, Management Science). I have taught more than 100 courses and supervised more than 250 thesis projects across all levels. I have received research funding from the EU and national agencies. I have worked with and benefited from collaborations with governments, central banks, multinational companies, startups, and non-profit associations.
