Thank you to all who joined us for the 21st International Studying Leadership Conference at Copenhagen Business School!

The conference served as a global gathering for scholars, graduate students, and practitioners to delve into the complex relationship between leadership and systems change. It provided a platform for presenting research on various leadership topics while also exploring the dynamics of leadership in the face of modern challenges like climate change, economic inequality, AI, and digitization.

The opening event set the scene for welcoming experimentation. With the blend of business and art Chairman, Torben Möger Pedersen, Andreas Vetö and the Danish Chamber Orchestra worked on the harmonies together. Despite some giggling faces, we can report, it went really well!

The following two days presented a compact program featuring over 110 research presentations, along with more than 15 workshops and symposia, showcasing diverse theoretical and methodological approaches.

The keynote speakers for the conference were Professor Mary Uhl-Bien and Professor Mollie Painter.

Mary Uhl-Bien is the BNSF Endowed Professor of Leadership in the Department of Management and Leadership in the Neeley Business School at Texas Christian University, as well as an Honorary Doctor in the Department of Management, Society, and Communication at CBS.

Mollie Painter is Professor of Ethics and Organisation and leader of the Responsible and Sustainable Business Lab (RSB Lab) at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She is also an Extraordinary Professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria and co-Editor-in-Chief of Business Ethics Quarterly.

It was an honor to host the 21st International Studying Leadership Conference at Copenhagen Business School. See you next year in Birmingham!
