    Two CBS researchers receive Elite Research Travel Grants

    Every year, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science awards five Elite Research prizes and up to twenty Elite Research travel grants. This year, two researchers from Copenhagen Business School, Anika Schröder and Christine Dyhrberg Højgaard have been awarded an Elite Research travel grant worth DKK 200,000, which aims to help PhD students conduct longer-term studies in some of the world’s best research environments.

    Peter Lotz as interim Dean of Education

    Gregor Halff is stepping down as Dean of Education at CBS to become Dean of Social Sciences at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Until a new dean has been employed, Peter Lotz, Programme Director for the HD will take over as interim Dean of Education. Peter will start the job on 24 March.

    Professor at Copenhagen Business School Majken Schultz is the new Chairwoman of the Carlsberg Foundation: “It is crucial that researchers maintain the right of initiative.”

    Majken Schultz gives a new face to independent basic research. As a young woman, she decided to be a researcher at Copenhagen Business School even though at the time CBS was not considered particularly prestigious. Back then, Bodil Nyboe Andersen, Governor of the National Bank of Denmark, was Schultz’ only female role model but now she hopes to be a role model for new female researchers herself.

    New plan for gender equality and diversity efforts at CBS

    This year CBS will begin the implementation of a new plan in its efforts toward diversity, equity, and inclusion, also called the Gender Equality Plan. Now approved by CBS’ Board of Directors, the plan contains actions to be implemented at all levels of the organisation with the aim to increase gender balance in academia and ensure a more diverse workforce for the business sector.
