Special Seminar on Diplomacy in East Asia: Japan, US and China relations in the 21st century

We are increasingly witnessing the rising power of China today. Amid the changing balance of power in East Asia and beyond, what role can Japan play? In this special seminar, Prof. Dr. Toshihiro Minohara, a leading scholar on Japan's Foreign Policy from Kobe University, will discuss the current Japanese foreign policy and its development. His presentation will be followed by a panel debate and questions from the audience. The seminar will be moderated by former Danish Ambassador to Japan/upcoming Danish Ambassador to India, Mr. Freddy Svane. Everyone who are interested in Japan, China, or International Politics in East Asia ishighly encouraged to attend the seminar.

Toshihiro Minohara is Professor of Japanese Political and Diplomatic History at Kobe University. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Interantional Relations from University of California, Davis in the United States, Minohara returned to Japan for a master's and a PhD degree in Political Science from Kobe University. Now, still at Kobe University as a professor, he researches and teaches history and politics, specializing in international diplomacy.
