New PhD degree and event about innovation, partnerships and waste management

Sofie Dam gets her Ph.D. degree on Innovation, partnerships, and waste management.

On 18 August 2015, Sofie Dam from the Department of Business and Politics successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on "Public –Private Partnerships for Innovation and Sustainability Transformation: An Embedded Comparative Case Study of Municipal Waste Management in England and Denmark". Sofie Dam has explored how innovation and partnering works in the waste management sector which is a growing topic, especially considering the sustainability debate where waste plays a pivotal role.

Seminar on Waste management

On 9 September 2015 – Sofie Dam presented her work in Danish to an audience of Danish practitioners from the waste management industry, and there were also remarks by Kim Rögen from Copenhagen Municipality. The PhD represented three years of work and industry university collaboration with Vestforbrædning (a waste management company), Aarhus Municipality and Copenhagen Municipality.
