An impressive 19-place jump from the 2022 rankings underscores the programme’s remarkable growth and is indicative of its drive for excellence and business relevance, with a strong focus on employer involvement and leadership development. The programme also reached #4 globally in the 'Work Experience' ranking, which measures the pre-EMBA experience of alumni. This highlights the exceptional quality of the professionals in class, ensuring that networking and collaborative learning opportunities are among the best in the world.

"The CBS EMBA programme continues to deliver  a transformational learning experience for executives who are seeking continuous learning in their professional and personal development while building a diverse and robust network. Our programme rapidly adapts to the evolving global landscape, combining cutting edge research with practical business expertise, where students can learn in an interactive environment to become leaders who can navigate a turbulent and unpredictable global business environment,” says Jesper Rangvid, Associate Dean of the Executive MBA and Finance Professor.

The average salary increase sees the CBS EMBA graduates with an impressive 52% boost on average three years after graduation.

“I am a very proud Admissions Manager for CBS's EMBA programme, thrilled with the ascent to 43rd place globally, solidifying Copenhagen Business School as a leader in executive education. The programme's remarkable 4th place ranking in classroom experience reflects our commitment to understanding the needs and nurturing the growth and success of uniquely talented executives. It's a pleasure to coach and advise these ambitious professionals, providing them with the skills and insights to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape,” says Lone Ryevad Boysen, CBS Executive MBA Admissions Manager.

Regarding the ‘International Experience Rank’ of the Executive programmes, the CBS EMBA sits at a solid rank of #26 globally. The criteria is determined by the proportion of classroom teaching hours held outside the business school's primary location. The CBS EMBA programme consists of travelling to four other countries for an enhanced learning experience.

The largest ranking criteria points are earned from the average salary, the salary increase, career progress, work experience, aims achieved, female faculty, female students, and more. To view the Financial Times EMBA Ranking methodology and weights for the ranking criteria, please click here

Another area where the CBS EMBA performed well in the ranking criteria was ‘Research Rank’ sitting at #30 globally and this is calculated based on the number of faculty articles published in respected academic journals.

"CBS faculty's leading-edge international research is affirmed by the FT ranking. Participants benefit from exposure to the latest academic insights from CBS faculty, enhancing their knowledge with cutting-edge tools,” says Jesper Rangvid, Associate Dean of the Executive MBA and Finance Professor.

CBS has two intakes for the Executive MBA (September and May) and the commitment is on average four days a month. There are two EMBA paths offered simultaneously - participants choose to earn their EMBA either in one go over a fixed period of two years or through the stepwise approach where you are allowed to stretch the studies over a five-year period.
