Why did I choose my programme?    
When applying to CBS, I honestly didn’t know what exactly I wanted to study. I was pretty set on doing something business or economics related which led me to choose this school. But what made me decide on BSc DM was that the programme seemed very useful in the current times and like something a bit different from other programmes I had seen before, with the new and relevant focus on the digital aspect of a business.

What do I like the best?    
In my opinion, the best thing about BSc DM is the community it gives you. As an international student, being in a course with almost half of the students in the same position as me, and the rest open to those from outside of Denmark, made moving and starting university much easier. 

The fact that people in the programme are so open and helpful to each other is very important and something I hope BSc DM students will keep being even as the programme evolves.

What do I think is difficult?    
As someone whose high school experience was quite different from what it is like to be in university, the most difficult part was getting used to a new routine and fulfilling new types of assignments. Additionally, learning how to prioritise certain tasks and manage my time while not feeling a lot of external pressure was something that took time to figure out and get used to as well.

What would I have liked to have known before starting my programme?    
Even though I thought I had done good research when applying to universities, it turns out I missed the part about BSc DM containing coding classes. It was a surprise to me when I heard about it during intro week. Thankfully, there is no pre-existing knowledge required, but I would say I would have liked to had looked closer at the specific classes and topics that we will be learning about.

What do I want to do after finishing my programme?    
To be honest, I’m not sure yet. I’m thinking about taking a gap year before choosing a master’s programme since I did not take one after high school. I think it could be good for me to get some more relevant work experience in that time while also carefully choosing a further study path for myself.

If I could give myself a piece of advice, before starting it would be…    
Don’t limit yourself. I think at times, I was straying away from certain activities or opportunities in fear of rejection or that they would be difficult. However, I believe that there is nothing wrong in trying new things, especially when CBS is a place with so much going on. Now is also the time to learn how to handle many life situations even if they are not entirely pleasant. We can never know exactly what will happen, but it most likely can’t hurt to try, any experience can teach me something new.
