Primary research areas

Climate-relevant behaviour

Understanding the causes of human behavior and its climate footprint

Climate change mitigation

Unpacking the role of individual behavior in climate change mitigation

Behaviour change

Understanding the process of behavior change and identifying effective interventions

Behavior change for tackling climate change

My research focuses on the role of behavior change in mitigating climate change and conserving biodiversity. I’m particularly interested in understanding how individual behavior changes can contribute to limiting climate change, identifying effective and scalable behavior change interventions, and understanding how to increase the feasibility of transformative climate initiatives.

Interdisciplinarity
Addressing sustainability challenges require diverse and interdisciplinary insights. While rooted in quantitative environmental psychology and behavioral science, my research therefore has a strong interdisciplinary outlook. I regularly collaborate with researchers from other disciplines, such as political science, sociology, climate science, and environmental engineering.
