Courses
Bsc European Business – ‘European Business Framework’ – The institutions and policy-making processes of the EU, and specific policy areas such as the Single Market, monetary, trade, competition and environmental policy.
BSc European Business – ‘Political Economy of European States’ – Political economy of the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, with focus on institutional and policy diversity in areas including macroeconomics, financial structure, corporate governance, industrial policy, taxation, welfare, labour markets, and migration.
BSc Business, Language and Culture – ‘British and American Studies 2’ – Trade theory and policy, the UK and regional (dis)integration in Europe, and the US and regional integration in the Americas.
BA English and Organization Studies – ‘Discourses and Power’ – The theory and methodology of critical discourse analysis.
Responsible for the development and coordination of the above courses, with the exception of BA EOK Discourses & Power, which I co-developed and co-coordinated for a number of years.
Previous experience of developing and teaching courses on masters programmes in the following fields: the political economy of the USA and Latin America, environmental policy, academic English.
Previous experience of developing and teaching courses on bachelor programmes in British and American politics, economics and politics of Latin American countries, and European policy, herein pertaining to labour markets, migration, welfare etc.
Supervision
Supervision of bachelor projects and masters theses on a range of topics, including trade and investment related issues, corporate strategy and competitiveness, policy-making & lobbying in the EU, discourse analysis, labour market policy, environmental policy, development issues.
