PeRCent will host its seventh annual conference on November 18, 2021 at Copenhagen Business School, Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg, room SP201.

This year’s conference will present evidence on how pension funds’ direct investments affect firms’ productivity, whether Danes save enough to maintain a suitable level of consumption during retirement, and who does not, and whether common pension contribution rates are “optimal” or should instead differ across individuals. This year’s policy panel will discuss ESG implications for pension investments. Panelists will represent Danish pension funds and academic institutions. The keynote speech will be given by Markus Brunnermeier from Princeton University who will talk about his latest book “The Resilient Society” and its implications for pension systems.

The Conference is a joint initiative between Copenhagen Business School and the Danish pension industry and is organized by Professor Svend E. Hougaard Jensen from the Department of Economics and Professor Jesper Rangvid from the Department of Finance.
