Responsible lobbying - Hopeless oxymoron, essential ambition, or both?

Workshop organised by CBS Sustainability

Wednesday, November 2, 2022 - 14:30 to 16:00

Venue: Dalgas Have 15, 2000 Frederiksberg, room DH.V.2.88.

Register here, deadline Tuesday 1 November, 10:00.

What is on the horizon for corporate lobbying? – and what could this mean for research, policy and practice?

We invite you to a workshop on what responsibilities do and should attach to businesses when it comes to their lobbying and broader political engagement in a world of politicisation and populism, purpose and various crises dynamics. Once an orphan topic the issue of responsible lobbying is increasingly pushing onto centre stage and merits more attention.

We envision the workshop as a conversation at the nexus of research, policy and practice to surface interesting dynamics and fertile new questions.

The workshop will be structured around a short presentation by Dr Dieter Zinnbauer (Marie Curie Research Fellow) of his recent paper: CORPORATE POLITICAL RESPONSIBILITY: Mobilizing the Private Sector for Political Integrity

There will be short comments from discussants from the worlds of scholarship (Professor Jeremy Moon) and practice (TBC), and then general discussion will follow.
