Research Seminar with Emeritus Professor Ian Hunter, University of Queensland on Office, Persona, Casuistry: Some Cases and Questions

The Public-Private Platform is exited to share an invitation for a research seminar with Ian Hunter, Emeritus Professor at the University of Queensland. The seminar will take place on October 22nd 2015 at 3 to 5pm at CBS, Campus Kilen room K.4.74. Ian Hunter is the Platform’s Velux Visiting Professor in 2016, and is visiting as part of his preparations.

The event will be fairly informal and will aim at discussing issues with a view to get engaged with those involved in the Velux ‘Office as a Vocation’ project. Rather than making a conclusive argument Ian will make some broad remarks on the topics of office, persona, and casuistry, partly to indicate where he is coming from, and partly to elicit comments and insights from members of the project (and other interested parties). Ian will conclude his talk by looking at three cases — two recent and one historical — where the functions and scope of an office have been the central issue.

More information about Ian Hunter can be found at his website: http://www.ched.uq.edu.au/emeritus-professor-ian-hunter

The event is free and open for all, but please sign-up via publicprivateplatform@cbs.dk, so we know how much coffee to make.
