PP member Karen Boll edits special issue on Excursions in Administrative Ethnography with Professor Rod Rhodes

Together with Professor Rod Rhodes, PP member Karen Boll has edited a special issue of Journal of Organizational Ethnography with the theme and title ‘Excursions in Administrative Ethnography.

The special issue includes a number of detailed and fascinating ethnographies of public administration and holds an editorial describing some of the advantages of using ethnography to study public administration.

Outcome of workshop on Administrative Ethnography

The special issue is a direct outcome of the workshop ‘Administrative Ethnography’, held at CBS April 10th to 12th 2014. The workshop was a collaborative workshop between the CBS Public-Private Platform at Copenhagen Business School and the Australia and New Zealand School of Government. Next workshop in December 2015

The workshop will be followed up by a second workshop on ‘Reform as a permanent condition’, to be held at Århus University, 7-8 December 2015. This workshop will focus on studying public sector reforms ethnographically. More information will follow.
