Entrepreneurship Network run by students wants to be role model for other Danish universities

CBS’ Entrepreneurship Network run by students is a role model for other universities in Denmark

Stardust CBS Entrepreneurship Network is run solely by CBS students – and it is the first of its kind in Denmark. It was established in the spring 2005 to inspire students to become entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship is more than establishing a company

“The purpose is to create a forum, where we can be inspired and expand our network with other students who dream of being entrepreneurs and with the surrounding society. Succeeding as an entrepreneur is much more than just establishing a company – it is about exchanging experiences to make the idea become reality”, says CBS student Hjalte Højsgaard from Stardust.

Even though the Danish educational system slowly becomes better at putting entrepreneurship on the professional agenda, much still needs to be done.

In 2005 CBS was appointed Entrepreneur University of the Year, and the school works goal-oriented to develop educational programmes that comply with the students’ desire to become entrepreneurs. And yet, the Stardust Network plays an important and valuable part in the development of the students’ entrepreneurial ambitions.

“The variety of programmes provided to students is fine and necessary - but Stardust is created and run solely by students, and that makes it unique. Stardust is an example of entrepreneurial spirit among students, not just entrepreneurial interest. It is with this spirit that new companies are emerging”, says CBS student Stefan K Madsen from Stardust.

1 March 2006 Stardust invites you to the event "Market place for student companies".
