The living thought of Gilles Deleuze

International conference on philosophy, aesthetics and politics

Thursday, November 3, 2005 - 09:00 to Saturday, November 5, 2005 - 21:00

International conference on philosophy, aesthetics and politics

The goal of this conference is to bring together a wide range of perspectives on some of the hotly debated topics in the international research associated with the writings of Gilles Deleuze. One such prominent topic is the notion of thinking as being alive. Thinking is conceived as an affirmation of life, and life itself is affirmed by thinking.

The conferenceĀ is held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the voluntary death of Gilles Deleuze. However, it is not our intentions to simply commemorate the death of a philosopher, but more importantly to explore and celebrate the thought of Gilles Deleuze as very much alive today.
