A teaching seminar with Professor Nigel Slack, Warwick Business School

Abstract: In joint co-operation between the Department of Operations Management and Pearson Education, Professor Nigel Slack has been invited to CopenhagenBusinessSchool to give a talk on current trends and challenges within the Operations Management (OM) domain. Professor Slack will give his view on the current state of OM, future directions, and how the different areas of OM link together.

He will then present his latest book on the subject and talk about using the material to make lectures as interesting and beneficial as possible for students and lecturers both. The presentation will lead to a discussion on the various approaches to OM – and an opportunity to ask questions.

Nigel Slack is A E Higgs Professor of Manufacturing Policy & Strategy, WarwickBusinessSchool. He is a founding member of the Operations Management Association and has published articles on a wide range of subjects within Operations Management. Books authored by professor Slack include the very popular textbook “Operations Management” by Slack, Chambers, & Johnston and “Cases in Operations Management” by Johnston et al. (2003).
