Mergers and Acquisitions -the Identification of Organisational Capabilities

Seminar with Wolfgang H. Güttel

Tuesday, June 7, 2005 - 14:30 to 16:30

Contemporary strategic and organisational research has shown that Organisational Capabilities built on knowledge is the most important factor in gaining and sustaining competitive advantage. A specific Knowledge-based View (KbV) gains in importance.

In this seminar, Organisational Capabilities will be conceived as rules and routines, and the interrelations between Organisational Capabilities, Absorptive Capacity and Dynamic Capabilities will be shown. Finally, options of their identification and evaluation in M&A will be discussed.
