Anna Petersen Joins the Department as Ph.D. Fellow

Prior to joining CBS, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nordakademie. She then continued her studies and graduated with a master’s degree in business and philosophy from the University of Mannheim. During her master’s thesis and her work as a research assistant at the chair of B2B Marketing, Sales, and Pricing, Anna focused on sales management, B2B marketing, sustainability, and value-based selling.

Anna will now continue to pursue her specialization in her Ph.D. project and will combine her academic background in marketing and sales with her research interest in (social) psychology and consumer behavior.

Anna’s research focuses on real world challenges faced by immigrant salespeople on daily basis – issues such as stereotyping and cultural biases. The aim of her Ph.D. project is to come closer to an understanding of how these issues faced by immigrant salespeople affect and limit their individual potential. Her ultimate aim is to provide guidance to managers on how to best lead and manage their culturally diverse sales teams. The project is also aimed at helping policymakers in their endeavors toward integrating immigrant workers into the labor market.

Welcome, Anna, we look forward to working with you.
