The Art of Entrepreneurship and The Entrepreneurship of Art
Symposium with: Lars Nittve, (founding Director of M+ and Tate Modern), Erlend Høyersten (Director of ARoS, Århus Kunstmuseum) and several guests
The Curator as well as the Entrepreneur are in-between roles that are engaged in the process of disclosing value potentials for users. Leaders of Cultural Institutions as well as Business Schools find themselves increasingly in positions where they too are expected to ‘curate’ or ‘become an entrepreneur’ when it comes to the role and function of the organisation they head vis-a-vis society at large.
What’s in it for us, the multitude asks? At the same time, entrepreneurship as well as art are creation processes that disclose new value to people. Art- as well as business education needs to attend to the fact that art students need to become entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurship students need to become artistic. Otherwise, the business of organising the making of the remarkable will not succeed.
We welcome you to our Symposium on ‘The Art of Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurship of Art’ where we place the relationship between art and business, art and entrepreneurship, and art and business education, as well as business/entrepreneurship and arts education in focus. Join us to get insights into the future of a new art/business/school relationship.
