Doing Business in China

Abstract:

China has the fastest growing economy in the world creating unbelievable opportunities for western companies to invest in its business market. What makes it difficult for companies trying to enter the Chinese market is their lack of understanding of Chinese culture and the incredibly different business environment in China.

In this lecture, Mr. Tang will explore why China has the fastest growing economy and why it looks set to be the largest economy within the next 20 years. He will discuss the main differences between western and Chinese business culture, look closely at industrial and business structures and will also talk about his own experiences working in Multinational Corporations in China.

About the speaker:

Mr. Tang  has years of experience serving as executive officer of several leading companies in China including Microsoft of China, Shanda Interactive Entertainment (Nasdaq: SNDA) and New Huadu group CEO of Gaotime Information Shanghai. He is exceedingly well known in China for his business talent in China and has received numerous of honors including Outstanding Contribution of  Global Chinese 2012, China's CEO of the year 2010,  China’s Number One Chief Executive Officer in the Media Sector, China’s Top Ten Most Valuable Professional Managers, China’s Top Ten IT Economic Figure in 2002, and Microsoft Honorary Award.
