The Center for Tourism and Culture Management (TCM) and the MSc. Service Managenment Advisory Board has invited Cruise Tourism Industry Expert Bo Nylandsted Larsen to speak at the upcoming Advisory Network Event.

Advisory Network Event with focus on Cruise Tourism

February 27th 8.30 – 10.35 - Ovnhallen, Porcelænshaven, CBS
The event is for all MSc. Service Management students and for business participants from the service industry. Furthermore, it will be open for interested students from other CBS studies if they register through the link below. The event is financed by the Advisory Board for the MSc. Service Management programme with Jens Klarskov, CEO of Danish Chamber of Commerce as Chairman.

The event includes a lecture on cruise tourism in Copenhagen and globally, presented by Bo Nylandsted Larsen, Global Director of Port Engagement and Business Development (CLIA), see www.cruising.org, and a presentation by Karina Paludan, Master in Service Management, founder and owner of House of Pole from february 2012, see www.houseofpole.dk

Programme:
08.30 – 08.55 Networking and registration
09.00 – 09.40 A lecture on the cruise tourism in Copenhagen and globally with focus on strategy and implementation. The most knowledgable person in the area Bo Nylandsted Larsen will be the presenter. For the past four years, he has been the director of Cruise Copenhagen Network, a destination network promoting cruise tourism and an integrated part of Wonderful Copenhagen. Furthermore, he has been in charge of Cruise Baltic for 3 years.
Bo Nylandsted Larsen has a big role in Copenhagen developing into a succesfull cruise destination and in having the stakeholders to cooperate both domestically and globally. Copenhagen has 960.000 cruise tourists annually, and the succes of tourism in Copenhagen in general has been higly affected by the succes in the cruise area.
From March 1st Bo Nylandssted Larsen will be Global Director of Port Engagement and Business Development at CLIA, North America´s largest global cruise industry organisation.
09.40 – 10.00 Questions from the audience
10.00 – 10.20 Presentation by Karina Paludan, a MSc Service Management graduate of 2012 and founder of House of Pole. Karina started House of Pole, a pole dancing- and fitness studio, in 2012 with the ambition to create a place unique within the industry. Needless to say, she succeeded and will speak about the challenges and experiences of setting up and running a company. House of Pole has branches in Copenhagen, Slagelse and Esbjerg.
