Præsentation

Professor Ringberg fik sin MBA, M.A. (psykologisk antropologi) og Ph.D på bla. Univeristy of Hawaii og Penn State University. Han fik tenure som associate professor på Univeristy of Wisconsing-Milwaukee i 2008 og professor på CBS i 2009 Han publicerer artikler i førende internationale akademiske tidsskrifter, såsom Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Consumer Psychology.  Han præsenterer sin forskning internationale konferencer om forbrugeradfærd såsom Association of Consumer Research (ACR), European Marketing Academy (EMAC) og American Marketing Association (AMA). Medforfatter på flere bøger samt bogkapitler.

Hans forskning er beskrevet i internationale/nationale medier, så som U.S.News & World Report, CBCNews, Videnskab.dk, m.m.. Underviser på Masters, PhD, CBS Executive/Summer og MBD kurser samt ad hoc på nationale og international kurser og har vundet undervisnings- og forskningspriser i USA og Danmark, senest i 2022, herunder Dansk Marketingforskningspris i 2022. Har arbejder med førende U.S., europæiske og danske virksomheder som konsulent bl.a. med udforskningen af forbrugernes og ledernes underbevidste sensemaking (mindset) samt hvorledes sidstnævnte påvirker lederes strategiske brug af nye digitale teknologier.

Han har vundet flere Best in Practice Awards fra American Marketing Association (Milwaukee) (AMA) for sin innovative og effektskabende strategiske rådgivning. Ringberg er pt medlem af CBS’ CWAC komité og tidligere medlem af CBS Academic Council. Han deltog i tre år som medlem af Academy of Finland peer review panelet, der evaluerede forskningsprojekter. Han er formand for Torben og Alice Frimodt Fonden, der støtter projekter inden for videnskab, miljø og humanitære formål. I sine præakademiske år var han med til at starte af en række virksomheder (bla dækket af Børsen) og blev senere headhuntet af Egon Zehnder Int. til et schweizisk selskab som marketingchef. Han arbejdede/arbejder for bevarelse af regnskove og har rådgivet internationale NGO'er såvel som for Nepenthes (nu www.forestsoftheworld.org), hvor han var med-initiativtager til etableringen af ​​Tortuguero National Park i Costa Rica.
