Eric Bentzen is awarded “Best Paper Award of the year 2008"

Associate Professor Eric Bentzen from the Department of Operations Management has co-authored an article, which has been published in the journal “Financial Markets and Portfolio Management”. He has been awarded “Best Paper Award of the year 2008” by the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research.

USA's former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan

The article "The Greenspan years: An analysis of the magnitude and speed of the equity market response to FOMC announcements" analyses the interplay or the effect of public statements and announcements on financial markets during the chairmanship of the legendary Alan Greenspan.

The article analyses financial decision-making placed in the context of communication and society.

Eric Bentzen has had a comprehensive cooperation with leading institutions and universities in USA who have invited him to act as opponent and debater on the decision-making of the financial markets.

The article is written by Eric Bentzen (CBS), Allan Zebedee (Clarkson University), Peter Hansen (Stanford University), and Asger Lunde (Aarhus Business School).

The award is granted officially at the Annual Conference of the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research on 3 April 2009 in Geneva.
