, International Center for Business and Politics, received The Danish Councils for Independent Research 'Ung Eliteforskerpris' (Grant for Young Elite Researchers). The price is 200.000 DKK and is given to talented young researchers (under the age of 35). It is given as a supplement to an already given grant to further support the research project.

Leonard Seabrooke's project is entitled '
Legitimacy Gaps in Global Economic Governance: The IMF and Tax Reform' and provides the first analysis of IMF tax reform programs in 20 borrowing states from 1965 to 2005 to examine how ‘legitimacy gaps’ emerge between IMF policy advice and borrowing economy policy implementation. It uses a unique methodological approach that blends quantitative and qualitative analysis, drawing upon a hitherto unearthed data set, and extensive interviews with government officials and representatives from tax focused citizen groups.

Leonard Seabrooke is 32 and originally from Australia. He has already completed several research projects within the areas political economy, economical sociology, and institutional theory and his list of publications includes books by internationally acclaimed publishers and much esteemed journals. Leonard Seabrooke has already reached international acclaims that are very rare for a researcher his age.
