Research and education on India strengthened

CBS has appointed Anthony D’Costa the post of professor at the Department of International Economics and Management (INT). Anthony D’Costa will be attached to the Asia Research Center, thereby strengthening research and education on Asian affairs.

- Together with China, India will become an essential global player in the future. Danish businesses are increasingly focusing on the Indian market and therefore, it is important that we acquire knowledge and competence in the field that Danish businesses will need in the future, says Kjeld Erik Brødsgaard, Director of the Asia Research Centre.

Anthony D’Costa has previously been employed at the University of Washington. He is an expert in economic and industrial developments in Asia, not least, in India and has participated in seminars on Asian affairs at CBS.

The Professorship

It is the “A.P. Møller and wife Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller’s Foundation for Common Purposes” that has granted the money for the establishment of the professorship at the Asia Research Centre.

Anthony D’Costa will begin his professorship at CBS as of 15 March, 2008.
