Researchers from Denmark, Europe and the US strengthen profile.

CBS is strengthening its Europe-profile by hiring Uffe Østergaard, Peter Nedergaard, Uffe Ellemann Jensen and current OECD-Commissioner Steffen Smidt as well as esteemed European Professors Graham Graham Thompson, London Open University, and Sven Steino, The European University in Florence.

International Center for Business and Politics (CBP), is the driving force behind this project, and the purpose is to strengthen Danish research and teaching within the EU as well as strengthening the Europeanizing of the country’s universities and business schools, says professor Director of the Center, Ove K. Pedersen.

EU-research is not prioritized

“In the past few years research with focus on the political and economical consequences of Europeanizing has been under prioritized in Denmark, however with the new research team both research and teaching will be vastly improved. “In the age of globalization it is important to put research on Europe on the agenda” Ove K. Petersen says.

The purpose of International Center for Business and Politics is the study of the development of the relationship between business and politics focusing on the consequences of Europeanizing and globalization – and one of the projects that the Center has launched is Forum Europa – a think-tank with Henning Christophersen as President.
