Professor Flemming Poulfelt publishes a book in Korean

A book written by two Danes, published by an English publishing house, has just been released in Korean. The book in question is entitled “Discount Business Strategy – How the New Market Leaders Are Redefining Business Strategy” and was written by Professor Flemming Poulfelt from CBS and Managing Director, Michael Moesgaard Andersen, from Andersen Advisory Group A/S.

Even the authors can’t read their own words

The book was released in 2006 by the publisher John Wiley & Sons, Ltd., and once again, the 306 pages are out there—this time full of Korean symbols, so even the authors can’t read their own words. However, the Korean-speaking executives, consultants, students, and teachers can.

The book investigates why and how some companies have been able to place themselves as winners in markets where the competition is very intense. The concept behind these companies is to carry out a conscious business strategy based on discount so that customers get both better and cheaper products—a strategy that is highly relevant in the Korean market. In addition, the book contains a series of instructions on how companies can execute a discount strategy.
