Alfred Josefsen as new adjunct professor

CBS has appointed the CEO of the Danish retail chain Irma as adjunct professor with CBS Leadership Lab and the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy.

- Alfred Josefsen truly deserves this honorary title. He is a very qualified top executive with a huge commitment to the improvement of leadership. He is not afraid to enter into a debate, and he is very skilled at putting leadership on the agenda, says Professor Flemming Poulfelt at CBS Leadership Lab.

It is about the employees

On 15 June, Alfred Josefsen will give his inaugural lecture entitled ‘Leadership – with focus on people, meaning and motivation.’ He is going to share his thoughts on how to become ’Leader of the Year’ and how to retain one’s top position on the list when Great Place to Work chooses the best workplace in Denmark and Europe.

- Alfred Josefsen asserts that leadership is primarily about people. If you treat your employees properly and take an interest in them, you will in return have happy employees who are willing to walk an extra mile. We can learn so much from Alfred Josefsen’s approach to leadership, which is why we want to include Alfred Josefsen in the teaching at CBS as well as specific research projects, Flemming Poulfelt explains.
