Bridging the gap between research and practise

Irene Skovgaard Smith, PhD student at Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy has just received an award for Best Research Paper. She received the award at the recently held conference Client-Consultant Cooperation - Coping with Complexity and Change at CBS.

Collaborating with Danish Industry

Irene Skovgaard Smiths paper has the title “Challenge as an Outsider – Know as an Insider: Client Experiences of Collaboration with Consultants” and deals with a project aiming at getting a greater insight into the factors that affect the collaboration between companies and consultants.

- When you do business research projects that are practically oriented it can be difficult to get them approved in the academic world. So I am happy for the fact that it was valued that I focused on a project that helps bridge the gap between the practical world and research- says Irene Skovgaard Smith.

The project is a collaboration with Danish Industry, where it is part of a larger project about growth in the knowledge society.

The conference Client-Consultant Cooperation - Coping with Complexity and Change at CBS was organized by Management Consulting Division, Academy of Management and Copenhagen Business School.
