Presentation and academic fields

Christian Rix-Nielsen holds a BSc (ba.scient.oecon.), MSc (cand.oecon.) and PhD (ph.d.) from Aarhus University and UCLA Anderson.

Fields of (research) interest center on (quantitative) economics of accounting and finance (including e.g. quantamental valuation, investment strategies, financial statement analysis, portfolio optimization, information economics, real options, asset pricing, corporate finance, market efficiency, deregulation, digital assets including crypto assets, mathematical modelling, risk management, econometrics,…).

Professional and/or academic experience

Currently self-employed as Principal Scientist and Investor in his private investment company, as well as employed as Associate Professor at University of Southern Denmark and Adjunct Professor at CBS. 

Previously also employed as Senior Scientist at Lind Capital (closed-end hedge fund), as well as in various academic positions within research and teaching at Aarhus University and various positions in a family business.

Pedagogical experience/method skills/supervision

Lecturing numerous courses on finance, accounting, and quantitative methods (on levels from BSc to PhD).

Supervising numerous projects and theses (especially MSc theses) on various programs at various universities (e.g. cand.merc. FIR, oecon, AEF and FIN at CBS). 

Completed Teacher Training Programme (universitetspædagogikum) at Aarhus University, and has received multiple teaching excellence awards/nominations (e.g. Den Gyldne Pegepind).
