New publication on decision-making and Big Data

Carina Antonia Hallin, Collective Intelligence Unit, has recently published a paper in 'Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Research', in line with the newly prioritized research agenda by CBS top management to enhance a stronger connection between social sciences and STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

The article is co-authored with Oded Koren, Nir Perel and Dror Bendet and brings together decision-making and computer science, building upon 11 million data observations collected from the Hadoop big data platform. The study draws upon technology and mathematics to derive an innovative method for treating mixed data (numerical and categorical), which will help to explain and predict social phenomena in the big data ecosystem.
