Prizes, a celebration of the dedicated work effort and a presentation by last year's winner of the DSEB Research Dissemination Prize - Ravi Vatrapu, Professor with the Department of IT Management - were the highlights when the Danish Society for Education and Business (DSEB) and CBS presented prizes to CBS students and staff. This year, there were three new prizes. One of them is the ”Fonnesbechs TAP/VIP Employee Prize 2016” which was awarded to a group of CBS staff on Friday afternoon.

Christina Merolli Poulsen, Project Manager, had nominated the research project ”Driving Competitiveness through Servitization” and the project group won the prize and were awarded with DKK 75,000. Among the reasons for awarding the prize, was that this group has set a good example for other CBS employees.

Christina Merolli Poulsen is part of the team behind the project, which includes researchers, student assistans and herself as project manager:

"One of the advantages of having a team comprised of different roles is the resulting diversity. You will have a project group that can contribute with different ideas, input and skills, and everyone is working towards a common goal."

She offers a specific example:

"Because of the project's focus and working method, we have had a great need to establish and strengthen relations with industry partners, host events with content aimed at businesses and employees, and hold corporate development courses. These activities of course require a professional approach based on research, but also a number of skills where you really see how  the VIP/TAP staff-cooperation strengthens the project."

An eye for detail, relational skills and a deep understanding of practice is decisive, Christina Merolli Poulsen explains.

The project's aim is to strengthen competitiveness in the Danish corporate sector, deliver new research on servitization, and thereby make CBS one of the central knowledge environments in this research area.

The prize will be used to give the team a good experience together outside the office and celebrate the essential cooperation.
