Summer at CBS
Almost 1,000 students take part in Summer University at CBS
After a long period of assignments and exams, most students are happy to leave their books to collect dust in the bookshelf, forget about products, pricing and profit and enjoy a well deserved summer break.
But this does not mean that all class rooms stand empty or that the halls of CBS are deserted. At the International Office, the summer is a very busy period. The International Summer University Program (ISUP) has just started, and approximately 1000 students of which a majority is Danish attend courses taught by Danish and international professors at CBS.
Increase in number of applicants
The ISUP includes both undergraduate and graduate level courses and offers students the option of completing the equivalent of a half semester. Over the last couple of years, ISUP has experienced a steady increase in the number of participants. This summer, almost 300 students from universities all over the world have found their way to Copenhagen and CBS.
Besides the courses, the International Office has prepared a cultural and social activity program throughout the summer, which gives foreign students insight into Denmark and Danish culture.
The six-week summer program is rounded off with exams in the beginning of August.
