High hopes for the new class

The future demands for public and private tax consultants, accountants etc. are being sharpened. Monday 20 June the first class of candidates from a master's program in Denmark graduates. The hopes are high, and the minister for taxation, Kristian Jensen, will come by to gratulate the graduates.

"Citizens and companies request more coherence within the tax area and demand that law and order is ensured. With their high level of quality, the new class of tax experts will be able to deliver the exact counselling and service that can meet those demands", says the minister for taxation, Kristian Jensen.

The aim of the master's program is to develop the participants' professional and personal competencies in order to solve central tax assignments in Denmark. The graduates come from both government institutions and private accounting companies.

Taxation legislation has become more complicated

"In my work in the Board of Assessment, I have seen how the taxation legislation has become more complicated concurrently with the global challenges. Continuing education within taxation is very important in the time that comes", says Professor in taxation legislation and former President of the Board of Assessment, Niels Winther-Sørensen.
