CBS appoints new professor within International Political Economy
Copenhagen Business School has recently appointed Morten Ougaard professor within the area of International Political Economy. Since his career at CBS started in 1990, he has been strongly engaged in the interplay between economic and political institutions and processes on the agenda regarding research and education. Especially global governance, international regulation of the business community, and foreign policy in the US has been in his interest, which is shown in Ougaards latest book, “Political Globalization: States, Power, and Social Forces” (Palgrave, 2004).
“In today’s Denmark where globalization is high on the agenda, international political economy is an important research area. Therefore, we are pleased that CBS gets a professor within the field,” says Dorte Salskov-Iversen, Head of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Management.
Morten Ougaard is also promoter and in charge of CBS’ latest English taught program BSc in International Business and Politics, which has just started in September 2005.

Morten Ougaard holds a Master of Political Science (cand.scient pol) from the University of Aarhus (1980) from where he also has the Doctorate in political science (1990). 9 September is thereby also a celebration of his 25 anniversary in service of the state.
