World Bank Data contents
World Bank Data Portal provides access to global economic and development data and series, including World Development Indicators and International Debt Statistics (formerly known as Global Development Finance).
Data series can be located via the World Bank Data Catalogue.
Data collected through sample surveys of households, business establishments, etc. are available via the World Bank Micro Data Catalogue.
Data are also available by Countries and Topics.
Selected World Bank databases:
- World Development Indicators, WDI. Coverage: 1960 – present.
Contains statistical time series of 550+ development indicators for more than 200 countries and 18 groups of countries. Data include social, economic, and financial conditions as well as natural resources and environment.
- The annual World Development Report (1978 –present) is available online and contains supporting data, maps, and analytical papers.
- International Debt Statistics, IDS – formerly known as Global Development Finance. Coverage: 1970 – present.
World Bank statistics of debt indicators and movements of capital of 138 developing countries.
- Global Consumption Database is a comprehensive source of data on consumer spending patterns in developing countries.
