Collaborative relationships in business markets offer significant opportunities for companies to create competitive advantages and achieve superior results. However, the ability to identify and measure the value potential that can be delivered from these relationships is a prerequisite for this to happen. This is important for both customers and suppliers.

Value is increasingly developed outside firm boundaries and customers therefore need to decide whether and where to establish and invest in a new or already valued supplier relationship. Suppliers face increased commoditization of products/services and turn to new ways of differentiating themselves. The ability to identify and demonstrate the value they deliver to customers is fundamental is this transformation.

This workshop offers insights into key concepts, tools and approaches to the measurement of value in supplier relationships. The workshop addresses essential questions such as:  What are the key dimensions of value in business relationships? How can my firm measure and quantify both hard and soft dimensions of relationship value? What do other firms do in order to identify and measure value delivered from supplier relationships?

Participants will gain knowledge and inspiration that can help them strengthen their own practices on how to identify and measure the value potential of business partners. This in turn will help participants better manage value and value potential situated outside own firm boundaries.
