PhD Defence: Tim Dominik Maurer
In order to obtain the PhD degree, Tim Dominik Maurer has submitted his thesis entitled: Essays on Pension Policy
This thesis comprises three self‐contained chapters on the effects of pension policies. The thesis starts with a theoretical chapter on the social welfare effects of fully‐funded pensions in a model with accidental bequests. The second chapter offers a quantitative assessment of retirement reforms designed to achieve fiscal sustainability in the face of population ageing. The third chapter is empirical and documents the loss of redistribution in Danish public pensions when accounting for inequality in longevity along an affluence-based distribution.
The thesis will be available from research.cbs.dk |
