CBS strengthens core competences
CBS strengthens the core competences finance, risk management and insurance by associating two new Adjunct Professors.
Henrik Ramlau-Hansen, CEO in the Danish pension company Danica Pension, and Lars Tyge Nielsen, Managing Director in the Hedge Fund Oak Hill Platinum Partners, have been appointed Adjunct Professors at CBS. They will be engaged in the areas finance, risk management and insurance.
Carsten Sørensen, Head of the Department of Finance at CBS, looks forward to the new partnership, which he hopes will strengthen CBS’ development within the mentioned areas.
“Both Henrik Ramlau-Hansen and Lars Tyge Nielsen have published a wide range of scientific articles in distinguished journals. In addition to their scientific careers, they both have important positions in the business community, which I am sure CBS will profit from. Especially, in relation to training international competitive PhD candidates, we look forward to use Lars Tyge Nielsen’s experiences as former director of INSEADBusinessSchool’s PhD programme. This will also strengthen CBS’ international profile,” says Carsten Sørensen.
On Friday 28 October Henrik Ramlau-Hansen and Lars Tyge Nielsen will give a joint inaugural lecture on “Hedge Fund Management” and “The Challenges of the Pension Industry” (both in Danish).
This will take place at CBS, Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg in the Tuborg Lecture hall, 2.02 from 14:00-16:00.
